Paediatric First Aid

Meeting HSE, OFSTED & Early Years requirements, suitable for those working in a childcare setting.

 

Emergency First Aid (Day 1) includes

  • Role of a Paediatric First Aider

  • Unconscious & CPR (baby, child, adult)

  • Defibrillation awareness

  • Choking

  • Bleeding & Shock

 

Managing Illnesses (Day 2) includes 

  • Medical conditions

  • Fractures

  • Spinal injuries

  • Poisoning & Burns

  • Hypothermia

  • Head injuries

 

Baby & Child First Aid Awareness

Would you know what to do if your baby wouldn’t wake up?

Learn how to cope in an emergency situation with a baby or child.  This course is suitable for parents, grandparents, baby sitters or anyone who cares for young children. These can be tailored to you!

 

Course content includes: Module 1 (2 hours)

  • Dealing with accidents

  • Unconscious baby & child - breathing/not breathing 

  • Choking baby & child

  • Bleeding & shock

  • Minor injuries inc splinters, nose bleeds, bites

 

Course content includes: Module 2 (2 hours)

  • Childhood illness including but not limited to;  sickness & fever, meningitis, severe allergic reactions, seizures & diarrhea & vomiting

  • Poisoning

  • Head & back injuries

Adult Basic First Aid Awareness

 

Would you know what to do if your partner was having a heart attack, or your mother had a fall?

Learn how to cope in an emergency situation with an adult. This course is suitable for anyone wanting more first aid knowlege. Can be tailored to you!

 

Course content includes: Module 1 (2 hours)

  • Dealing with an emergency

  • Unconscious & CPR

  • Choking

  • Bleeding

  • Burns

 

Course content includes: Module 2 (2 hours)

  • Heart attack

  • Angina

  • Stroke

  • Diabetes

  • Hypothermia

  • Head injuries

  • Broken bones, sprains & strains
